The latest iPad Pro came with a Mini LED screen, but other models will stick with OLED

Some product rumours can be very accurate, while others may be completely false. This is why Apple is trying to prevent leaks by making its employees wear body cameras. But that's not going to stop industry sources from speculating about features for products like the iPad.

According to The Elec, Apple will be launching iPads with OLED displays in the following two years. First, there will be one with a 10.86-inch OLED screen in 2022. The display size is the same as the current iPad Air, which means it could be a successor. Then in 2023, there would be two iPads with OLED displays. If they're of the same model, then it's most likely going to be the 2023 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.

As for the specifics, it's believed that Apple could use the Thin-Film Encapsulation (TFE) for the OLED displays. OLED panels can be sensitive to moisture and oxygen for your information, but TFE can protect the panel. Moreover, it's suggested that the 2023 iPads will be using LTPO OLED panels, which provide better energy efficiency and a max refresh rate of 120Hz.

Since this year's iPad Pro came with a Mini LED panel, is Apple more confident with OLED panels as a display option? How about you, do you consider the new iPad Pro's Mini LED display better than an OLED panel? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
