While some people may say that Apple is slow to adopt new trends, it's not like they completely stagnate. The company is constantly working on new features, some of them rather interesting too. Recently, sources have found a new patent related to notifications.

According to Wccftech, Apple has applied for a new patent describing a new interaction method for iPhones. Specifically, the idea is to allow users to mark notifications as read by looking at them. The patent also discusses how a user's gaze can be used to interact with other Apple products like the Apple TV, HomePod, and Mac PCs.

From what we can gather, this feature will require the user of a camera. This could be why Apple has been working on another patent for camera support on the Apple TV and HomePod. If you think about it, the feature has a similar concept to Face ID, which uses the iPhone's front camera to interact with the user.

But as usual, patents are just ideas and may never be implemented. Having said that, would you even want to mark your notifications so casually? Let us know what other functions would be more useful in the comment section below! Also, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
