The long-awaited iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro have now been launched in China. Earlier, some leaks have appeared hyping us up with the devices' battery performance and photo quality. Now, we can check out what are the tech specs and features that allow the iQOO 5 or the iQOO 5 Pro to have such performance!

To begin with, the vanilla iQOO 5 and the Pro variant have pretty similar tech specs. They both come with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the iQOO 5 will get a flat display as the iQOO 5 Pro gets a curved one. It is also worth mentioning that both can go as bright as 1,300 nits and support HDR10+ colours. Other than that, the vanilla iQOO 5 comes with a 4500mAh battery that supports 55W fast-charging, while the Pro variant gets a smaller 4000mAh battery but supports 120W fast-charging.

For photography, the iQOO 5 comes with a triple-camera system that houses a 50MP Samsung GN1 gimbal sensor found on the vivo X50 Pro+ with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 13MP portrait lens. Meanwhile, the iQOO 5 Pro will get three sensors as well by having the main one and its ultrawide same with the iQOO 5, plus an 8MP periscope module that is capable of 5X optical and up to 60x hybrid zoom. On the front, there'll be a 16MP selfie camera being placed in a punch-hole cutout for both.

Furthermore, both of them will feature the current flagship chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. As gaming-oriented smartphones, they will also have a larger heat dissipation system with thermal conductivity gel. Both support 5G connectivity, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and will run the iQOO UI based on Android 10.
