iQOO Z6 Series release: 6000mAh battery, SD 778G+ and 80W fast charging from ~RM782

After teasing its release for a while now, iQOO has finally launched the iQOO Z6 Series in China. Comprising the iQOO Z6 and iQOO Z6x, these models are different from the iQOO Z6 released in India and feature some compelling specs for the price. 

As shared by iQOO on its official Weibo account, the Z6 sports a 6.64-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display with a resolution of FHD+. The display has a punch hole cutout at its mid-centre to house an 8MP selfie camera.

Meanwhile, at its rear, the Z6 has a 64MP + 2MP + 2MP triple-camera setup with OIS. Under the hood, the device packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset paired with either 8 or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

The Z6 also got a 4500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging which iQOO claims can charge up to 50 per cent in just 10 minutes. In China, it is priced at CNY1699 or ~RM1109 for the 8/128GB variant, CNY1899 or ~RM1239 for 8/256GB and CNY2099 or ~RM1370 for the top 12/256GB variant.

Meanwhile, the Z6x sports a 6.58-inch 144Hz IPS LCD display with a resolution of FHD+. Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with either 6 or 8GB of LDDR4X RAM. 

There’s also a beefy 6000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. As for cameras, it sports an 8MP shooter at the front and a 50MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at its back. 

The Z6x is priced at CNY1100 or ~RM782 for the base 6/128GB model, CNY1399 or ~RM913 for the 8/128GB variant and CNy1599 or ~RM1043 for the 8/256GB configuration. Both the Z6x and Z6 are only available in China currently with iQOO not revealing plans for a global release just yet.
