As announced last month, iQOO Malaysia has launched its latest iQOO Z7 series here in Malaysia. There are two models available with good specs at compelling prices. And while the iQOO Z7 is no longer a mystery, let's see if the local variant has any changes.
The first model is the iQOO Z7, which comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 782G chipset. As you can see, it's a different chipset from the Dimensity 920 chipset available for units sold in India. You'll also get more RAM and internal storage of up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, respectively.
In terms of features, you'll get a 120Hz refresh rate screen, a 64MP main camera with OIS ultra-sensing, and 120W FlashCharge. There's also a Super-Conducting Liquid Cooling Vapour Chamber to keep the phone cool while gaming and dual stereo speakers for a better audio experience.
Next, we have the iQOO Z7x. This model comes with a more modest Snapdragon 695, which is a slightly old but still capable chipset. It also comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, more than enough for the average smartphone user.
The iQOO Z7x's highlight features would be the large 6000mAh battery, 80W FlashCharge, and a 50MP Ultra Clarity Camera. It also sports the same 120Hz refresh rate screen but uses an IPS panel instead of an AMOLED panel like the iQOO Z7.
In Malaysia, you can get the iQOO Z7 or iQOO Z7x for as low as RM1299 and RM999 (via Lazada/Shopee). There's even a student discount program that offers you freebies worth RM248. If you're interested, you can visit the official iQOO Malaysia website.
