Apple has released iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 already, but not for macOS Sonoma until today. So Mac users, you can now get your hands on the latest software update through over-the-air (OTA) in the settings.

For your information, most of the new features in macOS Sonoma share the same as the rest of Apple's new operating system on other products. This includes a new widget experience for the desktop and lock screen screensavers. Speaking of widgets, this also includes interactive widgets and iPhone widgets on the Mac, as well as fading into the background so you can focus on the current program you're using.

As for the screensaver, it isn't your typical static screensaver as it can move by itself in slow motion before logging into your account. Safari's search engine has also improved and will show more relevant suggestions, this applies to iMessage too with better search filters. All the new iMessage features are shared across all compatible Apple products.

Perhaps one of the intriguing features is Game Mode. Mac products aren't particularly known for gaming but seems that Apple is trying to change that. According to Apple, turning on Game Mode will prioritise the CPU and GPU, as well as lower the background task memory and latency with wireless accessories.
