Besides the nubia Fold, the company continued its Flip series with the nubia Flip 3. There is no official price tag yet, but according to multiple sources, the nubia Flip 3 is expected to be priced at around 83000 Japanese Yen (~RM2.2K). Below are the tech specs and features that you should know.
The Tech Specs
At the heart of the device lies a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The foldable design is supported by a main 6.9-inch organic-EL display with a high 2790 × 1188 resolution. Meanwhile, a secondary external display of 4.0 inches (1200 × 1092) allows quick access to notifications, calls or simple tasks without opening the phone.
Photography on the Nubia Flip 3 is handled by a dual rear-camera array: a 50MP wide-angle main shooter and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, whereas the front camera is a 32MP sensor. The rear camera supports high-resolution still images up to 8160 × 6144 (≈ 50 MP), while video recording goes up to 3840 × 2160 (4K). The battery, rated at 4610 mAh, pairs with these components to deliver all-day usage in a compact form factor.
On the connectivity side, the phone supports both nano-SIM + eSIM, and data/data transfer/use is handled over a standard USB Type-C port. Durability is addressed at a baseline level: the device is rated IPX4 for water resistance and IP5X for dust protection, enough to guard against light splashes or everyday dust, but not intended for heavy-duty rugged use.
Any Launch in Malaysia?
The nubia Flip 5G was released in Malaysia before, but not the Flip 2. At the moment, the Flip 3 is exclusive only in Japan, so we can't be sure if the company plans to import it here. There is no global launch for it as well, so we may have to consider that it won't be coming here.
