realme GT Neo 5 confirmed to launch on 9 February 2023

Yesterday, we reported that the realme GT Neo 5 is set for launch next month and now, the tech company has announced the exact time and date for the launch event. Taking to its official Weibo account, realme confirmed that the GT Neo 5 will launch at 2pm on 9 February 2023 in China. 

In the poster announcing the event, the company reiterated the stand-out feature of the device, which is its 240W wired charging capabilities; the fastest in the world. Moreover, the device is also likely to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 that’s happening by the end of next month. 

No other official specs have been unveiled just yet but according to rumours, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. Moreover, the GT Neo 5 may feature a 6.7-inch 144Hz OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5k and a Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor with OIS. Rumours also claim that there will be two variants, one featuring a 4600mAH battery with the aforementioned 240W charging and another sporting a 5000mAh battery with 150W charging.
