realme GT2 Master Explorer to feature world’s first LPDDR5X RAM on a smartphone

Recently, realme revealed that it will be releasing the realme GT2 Master Explorer in China this 12 July. Now, further details of the upcoming phone has been revealed by the company, including the fact that it would be the first smartphone in the world with LPDDR5X RAM!

Taking to its official Weibo account, realme confirmed that the upcoming device will sport LPDDR5X RAM, with one of the variants mentioned having 8GB of RAM. Compared to LPDDR5, LPDDR5X RAM offers higher speeds of up to 8.5 Gbps while consuming 20 percent less power.

Besides the new RAM standard, realme is also equipping the GT2 Master Explorer with 10-bit display that supports HDR10+, 16,000 levels of auto brightness, proper ‘eye protection experience’ and up to 120Hz refresh rate. It will also have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a metal frame.
