A few days ago, it was rumoured that realme is getting ready to launch more smartphones. Specifically, there is going to be one that is expected to come with the new Snapdragon 778 5G chipset. A reliable source also claimed that there would be a new model with the Snapdragon 870 chipset.

In case you didn't know, realme has events scheduled later this month on 27 May 2021. Those will be to unveil the realme GT Neo Flash Edition in China and the realme 8 5G in Malaysia. As for the new Snapdragon 778 and Snapdragon 870-powered devices, Digital Chat Station claims that it will be revealed on 18 June 2021.

The Snapdragon 870-powered device could be a different model

No details have been confirmed yet, so we don't know if the two models are variants of the same series or different products. On top of that, there's no news on what other specs it would have. But since the Snapdragon 778 is a mid-range chipset, it should at least have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As for the cameras, we expect to see a 64MP triple-camera setup at the back and a 16MP front camera. That's more or less what you can expect from mid-range devices these days.

Of course, we're just guessing here, so do take this news with a grain of salt. realme has a lot of smartphone options, but would it be unique enough to stand out? Let us know what you'd like to see from new mid-range devices in the comments! Also, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
