Rumours about the vivo S12 series popped up back in October, suggesting that it would feature a new design. Interestingly, a teaser for the Pro variant revealed what seemed to be dual-LEDs. This was confirmed at the official launch.

Yesterday, vivo confirmed that the vivo S12 and vivo S12 Pro would be available in China starting from 30 December 2021. These are upper mid-range smartphones with an emphasis on mobile photography performance. The vivo S12 comes with Dimensity 1100 chipset while the vivo S12 Pro has a Dimensity 1200 chipset. Both have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Besides the cameras, both models come with an AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The only difference is that the Pro variant is larger at 6.56-inch (vs 6.44-inch).
