Earlier, MediaTek has announced two 6nm chipsets that are the Dimensity 1200 and 1100. The former has been reported to be used in several smartphones but there was no news for the Dimensity 1100. Now, a source is claiming that the vivo S9 will be the first to enter the market with the chipset.

Other than featuring the Dimensity 1100, the vivo S9 is expected to sport a 6.4-inch screen while having a small notch. The notch will also house a dual front-facing camera setup. One of them is said to be a 44MP shooter and another one being a wide-angle camera for group selfies. The device has appeared in the Google Play Console database revealing that it will be equipped with 12 GB of RAM and run OriginOS based on Android 11. It is to be released on 6 March.

For the performance, the Dimesnity 1100 outruns the previous 7nm Dimensity 1000+ in a leaked AnTuTu Benchmark test. That makes us more excited to find out the actual performance on a smartphone, and it looks like it will happening soon with the launch of vivo S9.
