vivo Malaysia recently launched the vivo V29 5G, and like its predecessor, the vivo V29 5G delivers great camera features and a sleek design. Thanks to our friends from vivo Malaysia, we managed to get an early glimpse of the phone, so here are some highlights of its design and camera features.

This time, the vivo V29 5G comes in two colourways - Black and Starry Purple. We got to try the latter, a colour concept inspired by the Milky Way. It's the better-looking one due to the gradient purple back dotted with glitters, which reminds us of a starry night sky. If you're a fashionista or love the glittery light purple colour, the Starry Purple colourway could be an option you'd enjoy but the Black is still just as classy.
Slim but solid - One of the thinnest!
Another thing that immediately stood out with the vivo V29 5G was the thin body. At just 7.46mm thin, it is one of the slimmest phones available. Fun fact: Only foldable phones like the vivo X Fold 2 would have a slimmer body (6mm) when unfolded. On top of being super slim, the vivo V29 5G has curved sides for a nice grip that feels comfortable to hold.

Upgraded camera lighting - Aura Light 2.0, brighter than before

Aside from design, the vivo V29 5G has a few upgrades on the camera side. One is the Aura Light 2.0, which provides a much larger light-emitting area. It's also much brighter than the first-generation Aura Light, so subjects would look clearer and brighter. Aura Light 2.0 now comes with a new 4-LED system consisting of two cool LEDs and two warm LEDs. Thanks to the design, you'll also get even and soft lighting. Overall, it's great for environments without enough natural light.
Smart colour adjustment - For any lighting condition
Paired with this is the Smart Color Temperature, a feature that allows the vivo V29 5G to adapt to different lighting conditions. Power selfies - 50MP front camera with AF and wide-angle
Speaking of photos, taking selfies with the vivo V29 5G is pretty good too. The phone has a 50MP HD front camera with a 92° wide-angle field of view (FOV), Auto Focus (AF), and electronic image stabilisation (EIS).
In particular, the 92° wide-angle FOV is great for those one-person or small group selfies, as it doesn't have that distortion effect caused by ultra-wide angles. Moreover, the vivo V29 5G is ideal for vlogging since its Selfie Vlogging feature combines with the AF to include every smiling face in the picture frame.

All in all, the vivo V29 5G has plenty of potential. In particular, the Starry Purple variant has an attractive design.
