vivo V29 Pro 5G release - Dimensity 8200 SoC and 80W charging from ~RM2273

After the launch of the vivo V29 5G in Malaysia, the higher-end variant of the device, the vivo V29 Pro 5G was also released, but this time in India. Featuring some compelling specs at its price point, read on to find out about the device. 

First up, the V29 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset paired with 8 or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Under the hood, there’s also a 4600mAh battery with support for 80W charging.

The screen is a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and supports 1300 nits peak brightness, 10-bit, HDR10+ and 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage. Moreover, there’s a fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the panel and a punch-hole cutout at the top centre housing the 50MP selfie shooter. 

Meanwhile, the main shooter at the back is a 50MP main + 12MP portrait + 8MP ultra-wide triple-camera setup. vivo also equips the device with the Smart Aura Light, a ring-shaped LED flash that is now 36 per cent brighter than its predecessor.

Other notable specs include Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, Funtouch OS 13 Global, dual SIM and colour options of either Himalayan Blue or Space Black. In India, the V29 Pro 5G starts at INR39999 or ~RM2273 for the base 8/256GB variant, with global availability not yet revealed.
