vivo V40 Pro 5G release - Dimensity 9200+ SoC, quad 50MP cameras and 5500mAh battery from ~RM2676

After releasing the vivo V40 5G in Europe back in June, vivo today launched the smartphone alongside the vivo V40 Pro 5G in India. The latter sports some excellent specs for the price, so read on to learn more. 

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Battery-wise, it’s a massive 5500mAh cell which supports 80W charging via the USB-C port.

The display is a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, 4500 nits local peak brightness and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 50MP selfie shooter. The triple-camera setup at the rear all utilises 50MP sensors too, including the main camera, the ultra-wide and the telephoto. 

Other notable specs include an IP68 rating, Android 14 via Funtouch OS 14, 5G connectivity, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.3, an in-display fingerprint scanner and colour options of either Ganges Blue or Titanium Grey. In India, the V40 Pro 5G starts at INR49999 or ~RM2676, with availability in other markets not yet announced.
