According to vivo's official Chinese website, the exterior cover display is a 6.53-inch panel with a tall 21:9 aspect ratio. Interestingly, vivo equipped both panels with ultrasonic fingerprint scanners.

Powering up the foldable is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. The X Fold+ comes in two storage options, which are 256GB and 512GB.

Compared to the original X Fold, vivo equipped the X Fold+ with a slightly bigger battery, whereby the former sports a 4600mAh battery and the latter a 4730mAh battery. Besides that, the charging speed has also been increased from 66W to 80W.

vivo claims that you can fully charge the device from zero in just 35 minutes and up to 70 per cent in 18 minutes. There’s also support for 50W wireless charging.

Another improvement vivo has made on this foldable is its hinge, whereby it can now stay open at several angles. vivo said that it has optimised the hinge for multimedia and video calls, whereby the speakers have been optimised to make sure speech comes out loud and clear.

In terms of imaging, the X Fold+ sports a 50MP main + 48MP ultra-wide + 12MP telephoto + 8MP periscope quad-camera setup. As for the selfie camera, it’s a 16MP shooter.

The foldable is covered in faux leather and comes in three colour options, black, blue and Huaxia Red. It is now available for pre-order in China with the base 12/256GB variant priced at CNY9999 or ~RM6443 and the 12/512GB configuration at CNY10999 or ~RM7087.
