If you haven't been following the news of the vivo X80 series, you should know that it will be launching soon in China on 25 April 2022. On top of that, some tech specs of the phones have been revealed as well and this includes a new V1+ imaging processor.

The V1+ was co-developed by vivo and MediaTek together and it's the enhanced version of the V1 that was present in the vivo X70 series. According to sources, the V1+ will be able to support both MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets, hinting that it could be sold off as supplies to other brands. This also makes vivo the first OEM to produce an image processor to be compatible with other chipsets.

As an imaging processor, the V1+ is said to bring improvements to the image's colours, portrait and other modes with new vivid and textured details. By relying on whichever chipset's AI, the AI technology will also assist to boost the image quality. Aside from that, the V1+ can also be used "for high-quality and high-speed gaming applications".

Speaking of the vivo X80 series, vivo Malaysia has confirmed that the phone lineup will be making its way here soon in Urban Blue and Cosmic Black.
