About two weeks ago, vivo launched the vivo X80 series in China, showcasing two new impressive flagship devices. If you were hoping to get one for yourself, that's great because vivo Malaysia just released both models here earlier today.
The standard vivo X80 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. One of its main highlights is a relatively large 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which covers 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has 80W fast charging to go with its 4500mAh battery, dual stereo speakers, IP68 water and dust resistance, and more. This model will be available here for RM3499.
As for the vivo X80 Pro, most of it is similar to the standard version. However, it does pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset instead of the Dimensity 9000. It also comes with 50W wireless charging, an Ultra Large Liquid Cooling Vapor Chamber, and a slightly larger 4700mAh battery. In terms of cameras, both models have a 32MP front camera. But the standard model sports a 50MP+12MP+12MP triple camera module, while the Pro variant has a 50MP+48MP+12MP+8MP setup. The vivo X80 Pro comes with an RM4999 price tag.
