Right after the heels of the vivo X300 series launch, vivo has announced the launch of the latest OriginOS 6. The company's Android-based operating system aims to redefine human-computer interaction with AI. Below are some details of its improvements and features.
Looks smooth, feels smoother
OriginOS 6 features a new Origin Smooth Engine for seamless collaboration among the system's core modules. Combined with an 8+1 Ultra-Core Computing that prioritises critical tasks, OriginOS 6 boasts improvements to app start speed (18.5%), frame-rate stability (10.5%), data loading (106%), animation performance (35%), and frame rates under heavy load (11%). Moreover, OriginOS 6 delivers faster app launches (up to 50 consecutive times) by up to 16% and 41% faster touch response.

Besides that, vivo's Origin Design unifies visual elements like colour, shape, icon, font, and more. There's even a new vivo Sans font that supports more than 40 languages, iManager to check device status, Origin Health for health tracking, and other useful functions. Of course, the biggest highlight for OriginOS 6 is vivo AI. It features Google-powered features like Circle to Search, as well as in-house features like AI Retouch, Smart Call Assistant, DocMaster, AI Creation, and AI Search.
Compatibility
Currently, it's been confirmed that the vivo X300 series smartphones will be the first to get OriginOS 6 out of the box. Older vivo X series models like last year's vivo X200 series, plus selected flagship models from the company's iQOO sub-brand, will also get the new version. As for how it performs, we'll have to get our hands on phones with OriginOS 6 and test them first. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for further updates.
