Not only HUAWEI users can have the chance to switch to a new operating system (OS), vivo users will also soon be offered a new experience with a new OS. Earlier, news has reported that the company will be releasing the OriginOS to replace FuntouchOS. Today at a developer conference held in China, vivo went on to reveal the fresh look of the upcoming OS.

The OriginOS' homescreen's design is inspired by the Klotski puzzles with the extensive use of rectangular and square widgets. Other than serving looks, the widgets will also deliver “Nano Alerts” that are constantly being updated with the latest info like flight information, weather, and courier updates.

Furthermore, vivo is trying something new with the wallpapers as well by relying on mother nature. It is mentioned that the wallpapers will change by matching with the real world. For example, a sky wallpaper will change every time according to the weather. The brightness of the wallpapers will also be automatically adjusted to mimic the time of day. It is unsure when will vivo roll out the OS to users, but the developer conference that is scheduled to continue tomorrow might bring us more news.
