vivo standing strong in China's Q3 Smartphone Market Sales

So here's a fun fact - did you know that China's Smartphone Market rate has been dropping? This came from China's third-quarter Smartphone Market results by SANOFI, a large market research organization stating that the overall sales are decreasing significantly as of September 2018 with just 35 million smartphones. It sounds crazy, 35 million is a lot but compared to September 2017, it has dropped 7.7% which is huge.

Despite that, vivo is pleased to tell us that they are still standing strong being on top of the list, followed by OPPO, Huawei, honor and Xiaomi, resulting Apple to lose its grip dropping to the 6th spot. In addition, vivo is still having a steady growth rate during the third quarter by achieving the most sales volume of 20 million smartphones with a 15% growth rate and earns a 19.2% market share. According to the company, this is due to their flagship model, vivo NEX.

vivo's Geekbench score

Just to refresh your memory, the vivo NEX has been around in Malaysia for quite some time. It's the world's first smartphone that has an elevating front camera with an Ultra Fullview 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display, as well as an In-Display Fingerprint Sensor technology. While we haven't come up with a review for it yet, the vivo NEX is quite consistent to be one of the top 5 in the list of “Single core”, “Multi-core” and “Render Script”, delivering scores of 2412, 8784, 13648 respectively from Geekbench.
