Earlier, vivo has teased a series of devices that come with a gimbal-like camera that moves like a cyclopes' eye, and it was pretty interesting. Now, they are finally here and known as the X50 series, which will be bringing three models which are x50, x50 Pro and x50 Pro Plus to the market. Let's take a look at vivo's first flagship phones in 2020 and what do they offer!

The vivo X50 and X50 Pro come with the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. Both of them support a 90Hz refresh rate for their displays with the vanilla x50 having a flat-screen and x50 Pro having a curved one. There is also a quad-camera setup at the back of the x50 (48MP main + 13MP telephoto lens + 8MP ultrawide lens + 5MP macro lens ) and x50Pro (48MP main + 13MP telephoto lens + 8MP periscope lens +8MP ultrawide lens) that come with different configurations. Other than that, the vanilla x50 will house a 4200mAh battery as well while the x50 Pro houses a 4315mAh battery, with support of 33W fast charging for both.

Furthermore, there is also a vivo X50 Pro Plus that comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, which makes it the star among the devices. It has a display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate as well. For photography, it will have an extra Samsung’s 1/1.3-inch ISOCELL GN1 sensor in its main camera. The capacity of its battery hasn't been revealed but it will support a massive 44W fast charge technology.

The highlight of all the devices mentioned above should be the gimbal-like camera. It adopts a heavy-duty stabilization system which allows users to take pictures of movement without worrying too much about the focus ability. The gimbal system actually makes use of an on-screen “radar” that depicts the lens’ movement and indicates when a shot will be stable. This technology should get popular soon as vivo has always been the trendsetter in the smartphone industry with its in-display fingerprint sensors to pop-up selfie cameras that showed up previously.
