Printing our boarding passes and other travel documents will be a thing of the past soon for Malaysians. According to the Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB) Group CEO, Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh, he said the facial recognition technology will be rolling out soon at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) during the first half of 2021. It is part of the Single Token Journey Initiative.

After HUAWEI, it looks like Xiaomi has also stumbled upon something that doesn't look nice with the U.S. Last week, it was reported that Xiaomi has been added to the country's government’s blacklist, which means that U.S. investors will not be allowed to purchase shares from the Chinese company. The OPPO Reno5 series has finally arrived in Malaysia today with the vanilla Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G. Both devices will go on sale starting from 27 January with the pre-order goes live from 13 to 26 January. For the price, the Reno5 5G is at RM1,899 while the Pro variant goes for RM2,599.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has officially announced the PERMAI initiative which comes with various assistance ranging from tax relief, free internet data, and more. To go into more detail, the government will waive tax of up to RM2500 for any electronics bought until 31 December 2021 to encourage the acquisition of smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
