Aside from the recent news about the new Vive Cosmos VR headsets, it's been a while since we've heard from HTC. So, it was with quite a bit of surprise when the company announced a new entry-level smartphone - the HTC Wildfire R70. The company is being conservative this time, however, and will only make this device available in Thailand and India.

Just in time for the Pokemon franchise birthday 24 years ago, Google has released the official Pokemon of the Year results a few hours ago. Started from 14 February, users around the globe were able to vote for their favourite Pokemon and to our relief, Pikachu didn't take the top spot as it belongs to Greninja, a water-type started from Kalos. Home appliances from Xiaomi are always interesting and look super useful. Recently, the Chinese manufacturer has released a total of 12 dishwasher models. Eight of the models appear to be built-in variants and will be sold with the price starting at 1999 Yuan (~RM1201). Today, our local telcos - Celcom, Digi and Maxis - have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This initiative is for the three companies to explore leveraging each other’s resources to deploy a wider, more efficient fibre network for Malaysia. This will enable improved 4G connectivity nationwide, in line with the government’s NFCP target.
