Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, unveiled Redmi’s new logo yesterday, announcing their plans on making Redmi a brand of its own instead of a line of smartphones under Xiaomi. The logo was a simple circle with the words “Redmi by Xiaomi”. The “Little King Kong” or rather, the Redmi Note 7 will be the first smartphone to debut under the Redmi brand which will be unveiled at an event tomorrow which is already teased sporting the new logo on its back.

During the event, the company made several announcements from PCs to new devices on artificial intelligence (AI), 5G and autonomous driving (AD). The Intel conference was presented by Gregory Bryant, senior vice president, Client Computing Group; Navin Shenoy, executive vice president, Data Center Group; and Professor Amnon Shashua, president and CEO of Mobileye, an Intel company.

Recently announced in December, the Huawei Nova 4 looks to be coming to Malaysia as soon as next week, as media invites have been sent out for 16 January 2018. Featuring a 25MP in-display front camera and 2 variants with 20MP + 16MP + 2MP and 48MP + 16MP + 2MP triple rear camera setups, the phone will be powered by the Kirin 970 chipset. No Malaysia pricing details yet, but it was initially priced in China at 3099 Yuan (~RM1880) and 3399 Yuan (~RM2062).
