In another 12.12 online sale news, vivo Malaysia surely won't miss out the party and they are offering a lot of promotions, with several smartphone discounts and a bonus screen protection online at Lazada Malaysia and Harvey Norman. Here's something you don't hear every day, our local Apple distributor Machines Sdn Bhd has announced that starting tomorrow (12 December) they will be holding a 12.12 online sale and it'll be the first online sale ever by them going until 24 December 2017. Well, sorry to get your hopes up TechNavers and Huawei Mate 9 or Mate 9 Pro users, but it appears that GSMArena and its source goofed. Huawei Malaysia just came out with a statement confirming the rollout of EMUI 8.0 to the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro but they also confirmed that NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit) driven features like Instant Image Recognition, Translator and Easy Projection are only available for Kirin 970 equipped devices like the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. Be that as it may, the EMUI 8.0 update for Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro will improve battery life and increase the machine learning capabilities of these smartphones amongst other features.

According to GSMArena, the roll-out of EMUI 8.0 has begun officially in China for Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro users and apparently it comes with a host of features previously thought only capable with the NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit) assisted Kirin 970 processor. This includes the PC Desktop-like Easy Projection, translator, voice command powered digital assistant and more. No news yet if these features are also coming to the Huawei P10, P10 Plus, Honor 8 Pro or Honor 8 but they would certainly make such phones a lot more useful in the long run.

We are just less than a week away from the honor 7X's debut and honor Malaysia has announced that they have chosen a new local brand representative to showcase the phone.
