As per previous rumours, Samsung Malaysia have officially confirmed that their upcoming Samsung Galaxy A 2017 series will not only be the first IP68 water resistant and dust resistant midrange Samsung phones but they will also be priced from RM1699. Two variants will be made available with the Galaxy A5 2017 for RM1699 and the Galaxy A7 2017 at RM1899.

Both will be available on pre-order from 10.00 AM 6 January 2017 until 15 January 2016. For those who pre-order you will get a Samsung Level U Pro wireless headphone FREE (worth RM399, while stocks last).

All set for a launch on 5 January 2017, OPPO Malaysia may have revealed who the new ambassador for the OPPO R9s will be. Turns out, it could be South Korean actor Lee Min Ho who was recently spotted on the set of the OPPO R9s TV commercial with OPPO ambassador Min Chen.

Calling for all Samsung Galaxy Note fans – while the phone that you know of is now dead, you might have a chance to own Galaxy Note 7 alike phone with better specs by first quarter of year 2017. Don’t get us wrong – we are not talking about the China-made lookalike phones, but instead it is the upcoming Galaxy S8 by Samsung. According to a report, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may support the Galaxy Note’s signature S Pen and Samsung would more likely to sell it as extra accessory instead of integrated into the phone.

While the smartwatch market is getting smaller and perhaps more niche, companies are still making strides in design and technological advancements. Take for example Samsung. We have seen Xiaomi’s first entry into the notebook market with the Mi Notebook Air, which was released sometime early this year. While it is a great machine for its price, there was a glaring mistake if it is to be adopted by roadwarriors. Xiaomi did see this omission, and now has created a new model specifically for this market. The new Mi Notebook Air now comes with a built-in 4G radio right in the body.
