Digi Malaysia recently announced the country's first LTE-A mobile broadband Internet plans with the Broadband 145 and Broadband 185. They will utilize Digi's MobiFi LTE-A (Cat 6) mobile router which can connect up to 10 devices at a time using 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi. They will be available starting today.
Digi customers also get a number of savings including up to RM551 with Broadband 185 while existing Digi Postpaid users can get RM25 off of their monthly plans. You can also get a 5% discount on your total bill for the next 6 months. Check out the tables and site for more information

According to a recent AnTuTu listing, the upcoming Huawei P9 tech specs and features have been revealed. Confirmed tech specs according to AnTuTu include a Kirin 955 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a fHD or 1920 x 1080 pixel screen along with Android 6.0. The camera tech specs seem to be a bit off, as earlier rumours indicate dual 12MP rear cameras (AnTuTu reports a 13MP sensor) but the front camera looks to remain at 8MP. Do bear in mind that AnTuTu listings have been faked before so take this rumour with a pinch of salt. In the meantime, stay tuned and we'll keep you updated.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has officially made it, with an official listing in China for 3599 RMB (RM2188). The largest of the Samsung Galaxy A (2016) series, it packs in a 6-inch fHD display but retains the same look and feel as the other Galaxy A (2016) smartphones like the Galaxy A5 (2016) andGalaxy A7 (2016). No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but it should reach local third-party sellers before arriving officially in Malaysia.

While the Sony 4K Spreader handycam line-up got updated in Malaysia today, it looks like Sony has also updated something else with the introduction of the Sony RX10 III. Featuring a built-in Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm (f/2.4-4) fixed lens (the RX10 II had a 24-200mm lens), this superzoom camera also offers a 20.1MP 1-inch type stacked sensor, ISO 64-12800 and a Bionz X processor.
Other features include 4K video recording and slow motion videos at 240fps, 480 fps and 960fps along with a 14-fps burst mode. It also comes with built-in optical image stabilization. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but US and Canadian users can get it in May 2016 from $1500 (RM5895) to $2000 (RM7860).

The new smartphones have brushed metal backsides, NFC and 4G LTE but while the battery size is similar, both have different features. Xiaomi recently announced their first Mi Ecosystem sub-brand device with the Mi Induction Heating Pressure Rice Cooker. Priced at RMB999 (RM606) the device is priced 40% lower than other brands and will be available 6 April 2016 on Mi.com in China. Like other Xiaomi devices, the rice cooker is connected to the Internet and you can set it to cook brown rice, crispy rice and even cakes from an app. No Malaysia release dates as another Internet of Things (IoT) device from Xiaomi joins their ranks, but we expect third-party sellers to have it available eventually.

Sony Malaysia officially announced their Sony 4K Spreader lineup with the Sony HDR-PJ675 full HD camcorder (RM3999) and FDR-AXP55 (RM5499) 4K Handycam for Malaysia today. The FDR-AXP55 4K Handycam in particular offers a number of new features including a new ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens with 26.8mm wide-angle, 20x optical zoom, 30x Clear Image Zoom. 5-axis image stabilization and even a built-in 50lm projector with external input. The Sony HDR-PJ675 full HD camcorder on the other hand offers an advanced Balanced Optical SteadyShot with 5-axis Intelligent Active mode for blur free full HD video recording. Both are currently available in Malaysia.

Recently Sony unveiled the XB650BT EXTRA BASS Bluetooth headphones at CES 2016. It is now available in Malaysia for RM549 based on their official website. As for color options, it comes in 3 different colors, red, blue and black. But only the black will be available in Malaysia.

After the recent media briefing and subsequent Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 first look video, the smartphone has been officially announced complete with pricing. As per previous reports, there will be two variants, one with 16GB storage and 2GB RAM for RM749 and another with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM at RM849. They will be available on 6 April 2016. Both still have the all metal body and fingerprint sensor on the back but the higher-end version has a 16MP rear camera while the lower priced version has a 13MP rear camera. Both still pack in a 4000 mAh battery but you can check out the complete tech specs below.
