ASUS Malaysia have just launched the long awaited ASUS ZenFone Zoom. Designed with the cameraphone enthusiast in mind the ZenFone Zoom packs in a 2.5GHz Intel Atom Z3590 processor, 13MP PixelMaster rear camera with 3x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus, 10-element Hoya lens and dual-tone LED flash. It will be priced at RM2099 with a Malaysia release date expected at the end of January 2016. Check out the full tech specs below:

The FCC in the USA have just recently cleared Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) and it will come in black, white, and gold colour options. Image and tech specs were leaked as well.

Apart from the Huawei Mate 8 and other CES 2016 announcements, Huawei also revealed that they managed to ship 108 million smartphones for 2015, gaining the #3 position in the global smartphone market and the top smartphone position in China. Revenues were more than $20 billion for 2015, almost a 70 percent increase over 2014.
Huawei attributes this success to continuous collaborations made with other top brands such as Google (resulting in the Huawei Nexus 6P), Swarovski (resulting in new Huawei Watch designs) and Harmon Kardon (resulting in the MediaPad M2 tablets). Here in Malaysia, Huawei not only rolled out the Nexus 6P, Mate S and Honor 7 but also started off their Smart City solution. According to Huawei, 2016 will involve more collaborations, building upon the momentum of their achievements in 2015.

Virtual reality has often been a subject of science fiction works from movies and novels, but Samsung's latest mind-boggling technology says otherwise, you can actually see more and more people using it especially in YouTube and Facebook lately. Virtual reality has never been this close but it's here now, and Samsung brought it to us even closer by releasing the Samsung Gear VR two weeks ago, with quite a reasonable price if one might add for RM459 (with GST). It's also compatible with Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 edge and S6 edge+ smartphones.

You know there are been many rumours on what the Samsung Galaxy S7 series tech specs would be like, well the latest one from Weibo seems promising enough as the information given was based on an AnTuTu benchmark score.
Under the code-name SM-G935A, which is the Galaxy S7 Edge model; it seems that device could sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, backed up by 4GB of RAM, a 64GB internal storage, a 5.1-inch display on 1440 x 2560 resolution, a 12MP rear camera + 5MP front camera, and equipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

If you still remember your history, two years ago Microsoft bought Nokia and this prevented the company from releasing Nokia branded smartphones. Well that's all over now as it's expired on 31 December 2015, and Nokia should be making a come back this year as according to Nokia CEO, Rajeev Suri.
That being said, you can also say that we can expect many rumours and image leaks from Nokia this point forward. The image leak from Weibo seems legitimate with the brand font and style, rumours had it that it's the full metal Nokia C1 and the body measurement looks like around 5 – 5.5-inch. And according to industry sources reports, there will be three brand new Nokia smartphones in development and are on the way to be released this year.

Sony have officially released a pink Xperia Z5, the smartphone was designed by Rikke Gertsen Constein for customers to have new ways expressing their style and personality. The device will be available in February next month.
The tech specs of the pink Xperia Z5 is more or less the same with the Z5 series, with a couple of perks. It's said to feature octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, the latest Sony camera, integrated fingerprint sensor power button, 64 bit capabilities, ultra fast 4G LTE speed, two-days of battery life with innovative power-saving technology, and comes in full metal and frosted glass back.

A new rumoured Meizu smartphone was spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark website and it was indicated that it could be the new Meizu MX6 model, and with some tech specs revealed as well featuring a new MT6767 Helio X20 deca-core chipset.
Along with the new age Mediatek chipset, it will be clocked at 1.846GHz and powered by 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage Mali-T880 MP4 (four core) GPU and a 1080p display. We can also expect the device to operate on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

If you've been following us for quite some time now, you'd be familiar with the rumours of the 4-inch iPhone or the “iPhone 6c” going around in the internet. Well just recently, a Chinese website called cnBeta claimed that the new 4-inch iPhone will be called the “Apple iPhone 5e” (why not 5D though?) and the sources they got is from Foxconn.
So what they do know about the “iPhone 5e”? Well according to them, the 5e will be Apple's latest entry-level smartphone and will represent an “enhanced” iPhone 5s. It will run on an A8 chip and 1GB RAM, carry 16GB and 64GB storage, and will have an 8MP iSight camera for the back. The body is said to be thinner and lighter than the iPhone 5s too with 2.5D cover glass like the iPhone 6s.
