While many have dismissed Google Glass as being just another fad, the likelihood of it staying on and growing just got bigger as a number of big names have announced apps (or Glassware as Google wants to call them) for the wearable computer glasses. These include Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, CNN and Evernote covering a range of social media, news and note taking applications. Granted, what you can do with each app is still rather limited but this should grow as the developers mature the apps even further.

Space has been a major issue with the Samsung Galaxy S4 since day 1 of it's release. This is mainly because while the smartphone technically comes with 16GB worth of storage users only get access to about 8.8GB. Samsung have since announced that they may release an update clearing up more space on the internal storage but have not specified how or when they might do so. In any case it could be something to watch for in the next firmware update of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

In a move which came as a surprise to everyone, Google announced that it would provide a Nexus experience on the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the recent Google I/O event. While many were expecting the announcement of a new Nexus device (most likely for LG to do a Google Nexus 5 smartphone) Google are instead offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 minus the Samsung TouchWiz interface. Instead it will feature stock Android Nexus and have an unlocked bootloader (so you can root it easier).

The Nokia Lumia 928 is probably the only other highly rumoured Nokia smartphone asides from the Nokia Lumia 925 (which was officially announced on 14 May 2013). However, while it does exist and most of it's tech specs seem to be accurate, it is headed just to Verizon which is a carrier in the US. Since there is no Verizon coverage in Malaysia, it just means we'll never see it here. However, to confirm rumours about it, here are some of the confirmed tech specs about the Nokia Lumia 928:
- 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor
- 1GB Ram
- 32GB flash memory storage
- 4.5-inch AMOLED display (768 x 1280, ClearBlack, 500 nits)
- 8.7MP camera sensor + 26mm wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens (F/2.0 aperture)
- Xenon Flash + LED flash
- Records 1080p video at 30fps

Quite a lot of people opted for the BlackBerry Q10 as opposed to the touch-screen BlackBerry Z10 mainly because it stayed true to the BlackBerry design, and it had a physical QWERTY keyboard. However, many of those people were quite shocked by the BlackBerry Q10's rather high price. With that in mind the company has released the BlackBerry Q10's little brother, the BlackBerry Q5. Recently announced at the BlackBerry Live 2013 in Florida, the BlackBerry Q5 as it is officially known, seems to have been the previously leaked BlackBerry device formerly known as the R10. As such, it looks exactly like the R10 images, right down to the 3.1-inch touchscreen to the almost separate feeling QWERTY keyboard.

In a move that will likely delight most Nikon 1 owners, Nikon have relased the 1 Nikkor 32mm lens. While it does offer a reasonable 86mm equivalent distance what makes it really special is that it is an extremely fast telephoto lens at f/1.2 aperture. This should make it perfect for low-light shots, action shots and portraits that don't have optimum background lighting or are a bit soft.

The Nokia Lumia 925 offers a number of nifty software features to go with the metal body. While it isn't the same as the Samsung Galaxy S4's S features, it does have a very close resemblance, especially since one of the features includes an eraser shot mode or as Nokia put it, the Remove Moving Objects feature for the Nokia Smart Camera add-on.
Other notable features include the Nokia Smart Camera: Action Shot, Nokia Smart Camera: Change Faces, and the Nokia Lumia 925's Low Light shot performance. As a reminder, most of these features will be available in the Nokia Smart Camera add-on which will be made available for Windows Phone 8 Lumia smartphones in the next few months.

Metal and polycarbonate Mix!
We really like it when rumours get confirmed, especially nice rumours like the aluminum chassis for the Nokia Catwalk, or the Nokia Lumia 925 as it is officially known. Released officialy in the Nokia event in London yesterday, the Nokia Lumia 925 isn't entirely aluminum unibody as earlier leaked images and rumours suggested. Rather it has a mix of plastic polycarbonate back with metal chassis. A matte metal band design goes around it with the aluminum frame acting as an antenna amplifier making it both tough and a better working phone. At the event, it was revealed that the Nokia Lumia 925 should arrive from June onwards and it will be priced at around RM1828.
