When the Xiaomi Mi Note first came out it really made waves as the successor to the flagshipXiaomi Mi 4. Unlike the Mi 4, the Mi Note goes for a larger 5.7-inch phablet form factor and a beautiful curved glass-based design different from previous Xiaomi smartphones. Released in two versions, the Xiaomi Mi Note and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, the Mi Note is the lower-end version of the two but still offers flagship features like dual 4G LTE connectivity, a brushed metal body, 2.5D front glass, 3D back glass, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and more. Recognising the need and benefits of a gender diversity in the workplace, Intel Malaysia recently launched Women's Week to increase the hiring, retention, progression and advancement of women in today's workforce. Despite having a presence of more than 70% in today's Malaysian workforce, many managerial and professional positions are taken by men. Here's what Intel Malaysia had to say about it all:

While most of the smartphone consumers in Malaysia are anxiously awaiting the upcoming announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in Malaysia this 2 April 2015, Samsung Malaysia would like all it's enterprise users to know that these two devices also offer some of the best enterprise-level security features as well. While this is partly due to the software and hardware architecture built-into the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge (like the fingerprint sensor), most of this enterprise-level security is provided for by the Samsung KNOX end-to-end mobile security platform which has also been integrated with both devices. Secure enough for government use the Samsung KNOX platform offers real-time protection all the time including malware monitoring and OS-level protection. In addition the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge offer the latest 64-bit 14nm fabricated processors with improved battery life, faster charging and built-in wireless charging for both PMA and WPC standards. Both devices also come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for better scratch resistance. The latest Samsung KNOX release is KNOX 2.4 with new features that includes integration with Samsung wearable devices, enterprise billing and Enterprise ID integration for wearable device login. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are expected to be announced for Malaysia with Samsung KNOX built in on 2 April 2015.

In conjunction with the young and trendy Samsung Galaxy A range of devices, Samsung Malaysia and Media Prima Radio Networks (Fly FM, Hot FM and one FM) held the Bestnya Bersama "A" Music Festival recently. Various artists at the event included the Samsung Galaxy A team consisting of Internet sensation Najwa Latif, beatboxer Shawn Lee, pop princess Ke Qing, rock indie band Paperplane Pursuit, jazzy soul singer Liyana Fizi and dynamic rock band An Honest Mistake along with other popular artists like Juztin Lan, Forteen, Hyper Act, Izzue Islam, Venice Min and Faizal Tahir. The Samsung Galaxy A series of devices includes the Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5and Galaxy A7 with tech specs and features that are focused on the young and trendy such as a thin but premium metal body, 5MP front cameras for selfies and 4G LTE connectivity. Xiaomi Malaysia recently announced that only one device in their range of products available will be affected by the impending implementation of GST. This device would be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4Gwhich goes to RM625. All other products like the Redmi 2, Mi Pad, Mi Band and various Mi Power Banks or Headphones will stay with the same pricing as before. This also means that the Redmi Note 4G will be available for RM589 from now till 11:59pm, 31 March 2015 so if you've been planning to buy the Redmi Note 4G, now is the time to get it. Asides from 4G LTE, the Redmi Note 4G offers tech specs that include a Snapdragon 400 processor, 5.5-inch display, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

ASUS Malaysia has just announced their new super thin ASUS Transformer Book Chi range of tablets for Malaysia. Coming with three models, namely the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi, ASUS Transformer Book T100 Chi and ASUS Transformer Book T90 Chi the new tablet hybrid notebook computers are powered by Intel Core M and Bay Trail processors. Unfortunately, only the Transformer Book T300 and Transformer Book T100 will be made available for Malaysia. The fan-less design allows for a slimmer and thinner profile resulting in a more lightweight tablet and notebook computer hybrid while the all-aluminum one-piece design gives the devices a premium look and feel. For now, only the ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is available at RM3199 but the T100 Chi is expected to arrive in April or May for a yet undisclosed amount. In related news, the ASUS ZenBook UX305 was also released at RM2999. Featuring an Intel Core M processor and the same fanless ultra-thin design both it and the Chi are now thinner (and more affordable) devices than the recent Apple MacBook. While the Huawei P8 has yet to be revealed officialy, the leaks about this upcoming flagship smartphone just keep on coming. This time around, a factory schematic or blueprint has been leaked by @Onleaks showing the back, sides and top of the upcoming Huawei smartphone. The schematics also reveal measurements which include 144.9 x 71.9 x 6.6mm. Other rumoured tech specs include a Kirin 930 processor, 3GB RAM, 5.2-inch full HD display, 2600 mAh battery and 13MP rear camera. The schematics also reveal dual speakers on the bottom and what appears to be either a touch control or finger print scanner on the back. The drawings make it seem as if it is a swipe type of fingerprint scanner unlike the one-touch scanner on the Huawei Mate 7 but we'll know for sure in the next few weeks.

Building off the original lemon coloured Lenovo K3, Lenovo recently announced the Lenovo K3 Note. Featuring a larger 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution the K3 Note comes with a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and up to 32GB microSD. Other tech specs include a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, a 5MP front camera, dual SIM dual standby support, 4G LTE connectivity and a 3000 mAh battery. The phablet is quite thin at 7.6mm and weighs in at 150g. While it doesn't stray too far from the original K3 design, there is a big bump on the backside with the Lenovo branding but this doesn't actually do anything. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but it is listed at CNY899 (RM531) and we expect it to appear soon with third-party sellers like Lazada, SatuGadgetDotCom and DirectD.

The Microsoft Lumia 532 smartphone will soon be available in Malaysia for RM379 starting from 27 March 2015. Offering something between the Lumia 530 and Lumia 535, the Lumia 532 features tech specs that include a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 4-inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 5MP rear camera and VGA front camera. Measuring in at 118.9 x 65.5 x 11.6mm the Lumia 532 will be available in black, green, orange and white. It also supports 3.5G connectivity, Dual-SIM and up to 128GB microSD. Powered by a 1560 mAh battery it will feature integrated Skype, Office and now Spotify for free. With these features, tech specs and pricing the Lumia 532 should offer entry-level users another solid option for a Windows Phone but you can check out the highlight video for yourself in this article.

Samsung Electronics Malaysia recently sent out invites for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge for 2 April 2015. Featuring a new glass and metal body, the Galaxy S6 features tech specs that include a 64-bit 2.1GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage, 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (577 ppi), a 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and smart OIS, 5MP front camera and 2550 mAh battery. The Galaxy S6 Edge on the other hand is the only smartphone in the world with a dual-edge bended display. Tech specs are equally high-end with a 64-bit 1.8GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4, a 16MP f/1.9 aperture rear camera and 5MP front camera. Neither offers IPx7 water proofing, but both look simply stunning. No Malaysia pricing details yet, but the Galaxy S6 is expected to cost around $650 (RM2359) while the Galaxy S6 Edge cost $750 (RM2722) or so. Check out all the videos so far in this article.
