After releasing the Huawei Honor 6, Huawei has gone on to announce the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition. While it offers nearly the same looks and tech specs as the earlier released Honor 6, the Honor 6 Extreme Edition includes a 2GHz octa-core Kirin 928 processor. The original Honor 6 uses an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor. Most of the other tech specs such as 3GB of RAM, 5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, 4G LTE Cat6, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera remain the same though. The other major difference is that it has 32GB of storage and perhaps some more "extreme" accessories like premium headphones, a 0.2mm tempered glass screen protector and a protective casing. No Malaysia release dates or pricing yet but it is set for pre-order on 21 October 2014 for $489 (RM1591).

After quite a few concept renders, OPPO has officially revealed the top half of it's upcoming OPPO N3 smartphone in a teaser image from it's Facebook page. The teaser image reveals that the rotateable camera will return from the OPPO N1 along with what appears to be an artificial leather backside and dual LED flash. ASUS are doing quite well with their new ZenFone range of smartphones and seem to be filling up every niche they can with the recent introduction of the ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE (A500KL) and 4.5-inch display ASUS ZenFone 4 (A450CG). Now, rumours are saying that a 5.5-inch display ZenFone could be coming, perhaps to be called the ASUS ZenFone 5 A550CG? Rumours indicate that it would come with the next processor refresh for the ASUS ZenFone range, perhaps powered by Intel SoFIA processors. We expect some tech specs to remain the same such as 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 4.5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 2110 mAh battery. No Malaysia release dates or pricing yet but rumours indicate that it could come during CES 2015. Right now, ASUS seem to be filling up the niches according to screen size and connectivity, but so far they have no Selfie centric offerings just yet. An ASUS ZenFone smartphone with a 5MP front camera doesn't sound too far fetched though but with all of these rumours, do remember to take them with a pinch of salt.
