It looks like Malaysia won’t be recognising cryptocurrency as legal tender anytime soon as despite the urging to do so by the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM). Previously, K-KOMM deputy minister called crypto ‘the future of finance’ and urged for the relevant authorities to held discussions in order to legalise it.
However, the proposal was unceremoniously turned down by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) confirmed that the federal government has no intention of recognising crypto as legal tender. This was asserted by the ministry’s first deputy minister, Shahar Abdullah in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

OnePlus is reportedly launching a few smartphones this year and one of them is rumoured to be the OnePlus 10R. The device may be a continuation of the 9R and 9RT phones by the Chinese company, but as the naming scheme is not aligned, it may just be a new lineup of smartphones by OnePlus.
According to a report by pricebaba Daily, the 10R may also be a rebrand of the Realme GT Neo 3. Furthermore, the report also obtained a leaked render of the device that showcased a few interesting features.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has recently launched RakanMET, a user-friendly app that allows you to report any extreme weather phenomenons in your area to the department. Furthermore, the app is community-service oriented and functions through smart partnership between MetMalaysia and the public.
Taking to its official Twitter page, MetMalaysia further elaborated that the RakanMET app serves as a two-way communication medium between the public and MetMalaysia. With it, the department can obtain quick information on verified and accurate weather conditions throughout the country.

An exclusive new leak from reliable tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that we are nearing the release date Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets, starting with the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The new chip, allegedly named Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is expected to be released as soon as May this year.
Apparently, major smartphone manufacturers have already gotten their hands on the new chip and it will be powering their devices this year as early as June 2022. Furthermore, Qualcomm's upcoming 700 series chips have also reportedly been received by manufacturers and may be powering mid-range smartphones by the end of the year.
