The Lenovo K4 Note is now official after weeks of teasing, as a successor to the Lenovo K3 Note, the new device has a lot of nice features such as the new “TheaterMax” function, tech specs and design with a cost of Rs11,999 (around RM782) in India.

Popular technology analyst, Pan Jiutang from Weibo have updated the internet about the Xiaomi Mi 5progress and he has echoed Xiaomi CEO’s words about not seeing the device so soon.  

Like what the CEO previously said, Xiaomi is waiting until they have enough stock to meet the demand of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which will be displayed live at the CES 2016 tomorrow and Xiaomi Mi 5 won’t be part of it.

Griffin Technology, a digital accessory manufacturer from USA will be presenting a new Travel Power Bank, a wireless compact Apple Watch charger, and new strap bands for the Apple Watch during the CES 2016 which will take place tomorrow.

With CES 2016 getting the hype, so is Samsung Galaxy S7. It’s reported that Samsung will launch the device at the Mobile World Congress in late February, and we have been reading a lot of rumours of what it might feature. Today, the Galaxy S7 was reported to feature bigger batteries, water resistance, and the return of the microSD slot.

According to VentureBeat, the Galaxy S7 will feature a 3000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge will get a 3600 mAh battery. Samsung is also planning to bring back the microSD slot, and the water resistance which the Galaxy S5 had. Speaking of resistance, both the S7 and S7 Edge will be graded IP67 for dust and water resistance. 

CES 2016 will start soon on 6 January in Las Vegas, and Huawei will be holding a press conference. At the same time, they also teased us with three new image teasers in their Facebook page. What will they present? Could it be the new Huawei P9? Or something related to the Huawei Mate 8 as according to their Facebook page? 

We have already confirmed that the Mate 8 is official, and looking at the tech specs it sports a Huawei Kirin 950, supported by quad Cortex A72 cores (2.3GHz) and quad Cortex A53 cores (1.8GHz), and a 3GB/4GB RAM. This seems to fit “power and efficiency” very well. As for the “rhythm and entertainment”, it seems to suggest they will show us a new tablet; and the last teaser looks like a new Huawei Watch.

Just a day ahead of CES and already Acer are making announcements on gadgets and devices. This time around Acer have revealed the Acer Liquid Jade Primo smartphone featuring Microsoft Windows 10. Tech specs are listed below but from what we can see of the smartphone, it packs reasonably high-end features like a 21MP rear camera and a USB Type C port. The Acer Iconia One 8 on the other hand offers 16GB storage, an 8-inch 720p display and Android 5.1 for below $100. It is clearly meant for kids as it offers a Kids Center with simplified interface and pre-screened content for kids along with parental controls.

Popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OPPO has begun teasing us with a new mid-range smartphone, the OPPO F1 and it was reported to be the first in the OPPO F series to have some high-end camera features in the mid-range class.

There are no tech specs revealed or even hinted by them in the image, but we expect the device to sport higher resolution camera modules and other nice camera features. The device should also sport 5 to 5.5--inch displays, octa-core processors, 2GB to 3GB RAM, and 16GB to 32GB internal storage. It’s also possible that the F1 could be launched this month.

LG Electronics has planned to reveal its newest K Series, the LG K10 and K7 this week at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The devices are equipped with the latest and advanced camera technology and UX features of LG’s premium models. On the last day of 2015, KENXINDA has revealed its latest Flattop W9 smartphone along with a new smart watch called KENXINDA W3. The Flattop W9, designed for heavy duty purpose is also waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof with IP68 rating. The LEAGOO Alfa 4 is LEAGOO’s entry level smartphone with an extremely affordable price for RM199 only. One might think why would anyone get their hands on a entry level smartphone wannabe, but sometimes we forget that there ARE some people out there who actually don’t want to spend so much cash and could care less of the tech specs. So after weeks of spending some time with it, here’s my review of the Alfa 4.
