After a few weeks of leaked images and rumours, we can finally confirm that the OPPO N1 mini is both real and officially announced. Featuring a slightly smaller 5-inch display and only a single LED flash, the smartphone retains the same 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and rotateable hinge as the OPPO N1. However, it brings a number of new innovations that the former flagship OPPO N1 did not, and this includes 4G LTE connectivity, Color OS 1.4 and an extra feature that may allow it to capture 24MP images (something like the OPPO Find 7's 50MP image capture). Unfortunately we can't confirm other tech specs and features yet apart from the facts that it weighs 150g and will be available in China on 11 June 2014. No Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet but stay tuned as it is only a matter of time before OPPO makes another reveal, either in Malaysia or at the upcoming Computex Taiwan 2014.

Maxis recently offered a new post-paid plan for users called the ONEplan. This ONEplan will offer limitless voice calls and SMS to fixed and mobile numbers on all networks that Maxis says is limitless. However, due to their Fair Usage Policy (FUP) this limitless number of calls and SMS is actually capped at 3000 minutes of Voice Calls and 3000 SMS with any calls or SMS afterwards being charged at the normal per sen rate. Coming in 2 options with ONEplan at 2GB of data and ONEplan Lite at 1GB of data, the available data quota is rather low but it will be offered at LTE speeds. Subsequent Data Booster Packs cost RM10 for 200MB, RM20 for 500MB and RM30 for 1GB of data. However, the data quota is in effect limitless as well, as you will not have to pay any extra rates after you hit the data quota. Instead, you'll be throttled down to 64kbps, which is still fast enough for most mobile purposes. Check out the table and links in this article for more details.

Other sites are suggesting that it could be the ASUS PadFone X which is a tablet and smartphone combo but we also have not ruled out the recently unveiled Intel 64-bit powered ASUS MeMo Pad 8 which recently got unveiled in Japan. The rumour mill continues as some chinese sites are suggesting that there could soon be LTE and customizable versions for the new ASUS ZenFone smartphones. According to them, this could be called the ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE and ASUS ZenFone DIY. This jives with what we have heard from our ASUS contacts and we could see the ZenFone 5 LTE come in Q2 of 2014. While some sites are suggesting that this 4G LTE enabled version could be powered by a Qualcomm processor and not the current Intel Atom processors, we think that the ZenFone 5 LTE could still be powered by an Intel Atom processor and SoC as Intel announced their Intel LTE for Atom chipsets back in February 2014 at the Mobile World Congress expo.
