Many of you probably reach for your phones first thing in the morning to scroll through social media before starting your day. If you did that, then you probably saw the Instagram update where you scroll through your feed by swiping left instead of scrolling horizontally this morning, almost like Tinder.

Huawei consumer BG has announced that the Chinese manufacturer has sold more than 200 million smartphones in the year of 2018, outselling 2017 by nearly 50 million units, pulling ahead of Apple in terms of sales 3 quarters in a row, retaining its number 2 spot as the second best smartphone brand internationally. This is largely due to the “out-of-the-box” thinking and design philosophy that Huawei did in order to design and manufacture their smartphones while retaining a "consumer-centric" focus on innovation.

The new Honor V20 also introduces a pinhole design at the side which houses the 25MP front-facing selfie camera as well as the "The Nine" liquid cooling.

Xiaomi has recently announced the launch of the Mi Play in China for the price of RMB1099(~RM664) and it comes equipped with a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, dual camera rear, 8MP front-facing selfie camera, 5.84-inch display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and it is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery.

It looks like the Mi Play smartphone may have more variants than we thought. The device that was released yesterday was only equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage but it seems like that may change in the future as the page source of their site show listings of  a 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant as well as 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Nipun Marya, Vivo India’s Director Brand Strategy, confirmed that the Vivo V12 Pro is expected to be out in the first half of 2019. What we can expect the Vivo V12 Pro to have is an UD fingerprint reader as the V11 Pro had the same feature and may be priced under Rs. 30000 (~RM1790).
