The upcoming Nothing Phone (4b) is expected to launch globally on 7 July 2026 with a price tag of INR30,000 (~RM1,600). Recent live image leaks have revealed that the new budget-friendly device will feature a large 6000 mAh battery, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, and a 50MP main camera. The leaked photos also show that the smartphone will be available in black, white, and blue colour options, and it will run on Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16.

According to 9to5Google, Samsung will introduce a new naming scheme, splitting its flagship foldable into a standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Both will debut at Galaxy Unpacked in London on 22 July 2026, with the Ultra rumoured to start at USD 1,999 (~RM8,850). Surprisingly, the standard model shifts to a wider 4:3 outer cover screen, making it look and feel like a traditional smartphone when closed.

Recently, Tidal announced that fully AI-generated music on the platform will now be given a label. At the same time, music without any human involvement will not receive any royalties from streaming on Tidal. Therefore, any music that imitates the artist's style will be removed. This is an increase from the 49 security features used in the current international passport. Among the 94 security features used on the new international passport are hologram elements, ultra-violet printing, security stitching threads, unique designs on each page and hidden elements.

A report recently revealed that a Samsung Rollable Display smartphone or device which might be called the Galaxy Z Slide could be coming in 2028. While no actual tech specs have been confirmed, the rollable display is expected to slide out of the housing to expand the screen into a 10-inch panel with 16:9 aspect ratio. Obviously, there are no Malaysia release dates just yet, and we expect the initial price to be very high.

WhatsApp just announced that it’s time to reserve your WhatsApp Username, which will then be locked-in for your use when the feature is launched. You can use the same username as your Instagram while businesses or creators Facebook and Instagram usernames are reserved. With last year's unpacked happening in July, we expect this year’s to showcase the next Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, maybe even a Galaxy Z Fold Wide and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 too.
