While HTC continues to drum up hype for the next big change in the company, the device that may bring about this change recently may have got it's name confirmed. The rumoured device is supposedly a phablet based on the HTC One's design which many have called the HTC One Max. Serial leaker @evleaks recently tweeted that the formerly codenamed HTC One T6 would indeed be called the HTC One Max, confirming both the name and the existence of the phablet. Tech specs rumoured to be coming with the HTC One Max include a Snapdragon 800 processor, 5.9-inch Super LCD-3 screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolutions and 2GB of RAM, along with a 3200 mAh battery. No Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet, but it is expected to arrive within September or October 2013.

They also seem to confirm that the next Apple iPad 5 will feature an Apple iPad mini-like design, complete with narrower bezels and a slimmer slate like profile. Take a look for yourself below as the new Apple iPad 5 chassis is compared against the current Apple iPad 4.

As mentioned in our Apple iPhone 5S report, the other device to be officially announced is the plastic backplated Apple iPhone 5C. Effectively replacing the Apple iPhone 5, the Apple iPhone 5C has nearly the same hardware and tech specs, including the same dual-core A6 processor and chipset, 4-inch Retina display (1136 x 640) and 8MP iSight camera. The only major hardware differences include a bigger battery, a new FaceTime HD 1.2MP front camera and the aforementioned colourful plastic backplates which come in blue, green, pink, yellow and white (sorry, no black yet). At 9mm and 132g the iPhone 5C is thicker and heavier than the iPhone 5. Other tech specs and features include 100Mbps LTE connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. While it packs in an 8MP iSight camera it probably isn't the same as the one on the Apple iPhone 5S as it has an f/2.4 aperture and only one LED flash.

The Apple iPhone 5S was officially announced recently and culminates after tons of leaked reports, tech specs, features, images and videos already showed up. Strangely enough, most of the leaks are correct and include a massive hardware upgrade such as a new 64-bit A7 chipset and processor along with a fingerprint sensor backed Home button with sapphire crystal. Some new things were revealed though and this includes an 8MP camera sensor that takes larger pixel shots, showing that Apple have also jumped onto the UtraPixel bandwagon. In terms of design, the rumoured gold and grey chassis are true but the overall design remains nearly the same as the Apple iPhone 5. Check out our analysis of the Apple iPhone 5S here.

Barely a week after being announced, DiGi has already opened up the the pre-registration form for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Nissan is entering the smartwatch fray with their Nismo Watch, designed to complement users of their performance Nismo cars. While it isn't an actual product just yet, it is a concept complete with a mock-up which certainly sounds intriguing. The smartwatch connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth while the smartphone is connected to the car via a dashboard insert. It will then get driving information such as speed, fuel performance and other stats along with your heartrate and other biometrics so you can stay frosty while taking that hairpin turn at 120km per hour. So far, the designs seem to show that this smartphone will be an Apple iPhone, but it doesn't say for sure if it will be iOS exclusive. The design of the watch is futuristic to say the least, and rather than watch, looks more like a bracelet. It could be using a flexible display but since it doesn't show it actually bending or anything we'll wait for more information. Check out the video and interview regarding the Nissan Nismo Watch here.

Microsoft continues slogging on with their Surface range of tablets as reports show that Microsoft are currently working on 3 new Surface tablets. Surface Pro 2 will be the Intel Haswell refresh of the current Surface Pro while the Surface 2 will be the revamp (hopefully replacement) for the Surface RT tablet. The third Surface tablet looks to be something in the 7-inch to 8-inch range as it will be named the Surface Mini. Perhaps Microsoft is getting impatient for other manufacturers to come out with their 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablets and is working on a reference design. However, if the Surface Mini gets priced much higher than the others but has the same tech specs this won't serve Microsoft very well.
