The pre-order of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is already over and sold out even before the end of the period. But no worries, today (24 August 2018) marks the official sale in Malaysia and both Senheng and senQ will be launching the phablet for the same price starting from RM3699, with extra benefits such as instalment plans, complimentary gifts, trade up and more.

If you missed out the pre-order of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, don't fret because starting today (24 August 2018) onwards, the phablet is now officially in all Samsung Experience Stores, authorized resellers and partners across Malaysia for the same starting price of RM3699. Also starting from 24-26 August 2018 (or 27 August for Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur), there are several roadshows showcasing the phablet.

So just a few hours ago in China, OPPO quietly released the latest R17 Pro on their website as a new mid-range device. With a starting price of 4299 Yuan (~RM2567), the source says that the sales will start in mid-October but only for China, so it's unclear if the phone will make its way to other regions or not.

A recently revealed SST (Sales and Service Tax) guidance list from MySST has revealed that smartphones and other handphones will get a 5% SST. While some said that previously before GST, handphones, tablets and laptops were exempted, this list also goes on to reveal that other electronics will get a 10% SST as well. SST is expected to be implemented starting from 1 September 2018 so there is at least a week to get a new smartphone or other electronics like cameras, laptops and audio equipment before we see any price increase due to SST.

Featuring LiquidCool tech in a polycarbonate (basically plastic) body, the POCO F1 also has a 4000 mAh battery and is set for release in India on 29 August 2018. No Malaysian release dates or pricing details yet, but it is expected in Jakarta on 27 August 2018, so it could eventuallly come to Malaysia.
