Huawei have officially launched their Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus smartphones with a bang featuring more colours, an enhanced Leica front camera, Leica dual-Camera 2.0 featuring the 12MP RGB + 20MP monochrome sensor from the Mate 9 but with better SUMMILUX-H Leica lenses that offer a larger F/1.8 aperture for faster focusing in low-light conditions and more. Malaysia release dates are expected within a month with prices starting from 649 euros (~RM3043).

Huawei just done launching their latest dual camera flagship, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus at MWC (Mobile World Congress) Barcelona. It will be available here in Malaysia by next month at a price tag of 649 Euros (RM3043) for 4GB RAM Huawei P10, 699 Euros (RM3278) for 4GB RAM Huawei P10 Plus, and 799 Euros (RM3746) for 6GB RAM Huawei P10 Plus. The LG G6 has been officially announced with a 5.7-inch FullVision display with rounded corners in a body normally taken by a 5.2-inch display smartphone. It also packs in dual wide angle rear camera setup somewhat different from the LG V20, capable of recording in 4K video with smooth stabilization and taking square shots so you can take pictures while holding the phone upright. Other new additions to the LG G6 include IP68 water and dust resistance and no more modular parts unlike the previous LG G5. We don't expect the LG G6 to arrive in Malaysia any time soon though but there wasn't any pricing or release date information revealed either.

TCL and BlackBerry have officially announced their BlackBerry KEYone smartphone. Formerly codenamed Mercury, the KEYone packs an energy efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 4.5-inch 1620 x 1080 pixel resolution display, 12MP camera, 3505 mAh battery and QWERTY keyboard with a fingerprint scanner built into the space bar key tech specs in a 9.4mm thin body. Despite the small display it is quite heavy at 180g but this is perhaps due to the metal frame.

Samsung Pay officially launches in Malaysia for more Samsung phones and more banks and loyalty cards

After the preview with Maybank and Samsung Pay, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has officially launched their contactless electronic wallet Samsung Pay for more Samsung phones (Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy A7 2016, Galaxy A5 2016, Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017) and more supported banks. While Maybank is still the only bank that supports debit and prepaid cards, CIMB, Citibank and Standard Chartered credit cards are now supported on Samsung Pay. Hong Leong bank is expected to join the pack shortly with other banks set to join up eventually.
