As some of you might have heard - it was reported that Sony Mobile has already withdrawn from the Southeast Asia market silently and that's most unfortunate (because that includes Malaysia as well). While there was no official statement from them, they are still alive and kicking in MWC 2019 and one of our writers, Jim managed to get to check out the latest smartphones.

The Nokia 9 PureView had been in the rumours for almost a year since 2018. Whenever it appeared, it went back under the mat again never to be mentioned until a few months later. But that's changed now since it has finally been revealed at MWC 2019. Our boy, Jim had the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with the five-rear camera smartphone (and the Nokia 1 Plus as well) so here's what he has to say!

The Xiaomi Mi 9 finally makes an appearance over at MWC 2019 where we managed to get a feel of the very pretty device. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, it features a rear triple camera setup with a 48MP main sensor and an under display (UD) fingerprint 

It's been a short while since the Samsung Galaxy S10 series was unveiled to the world. As the 10th edition of the Galaxy S series, Samsung sure surprised us with a lot of features, much more than we expected and even though all of them aren't exactly new, we think they are a nice improvement. So, here are the Top 5 Features the Samsung Galaxy S10 series got right.

[Update] Remember the monstrosity we reported about a few weeks ago which showed off one of Energizer's 26 upcoming smartphones, the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop smartphone? As many of you already know, the Huawei Mate X is one of the biggest highlights at MWC 2019 and sent many mouth-watering geeks to snap as many pictures as they can. Initially, we thought we won't have a hands-on experience but our boy, Jim got lucky to get his hands on the world's first 5G foldable smartphone. Without further ado, let's see how this phone works!

The upcoming Huawei P30 series is coming as soon as 26 March 2019, and while we'll be on hand to check it out, we can't help but wonder at what they can do, particularly the Huawei P30 Pro. No doubt building upon what was developed with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, we expect the P30 Pro to come equipped with the 7nm and dual NPU-powered Kirin 980 chipset while Richard Yu has already demonstrated one feature which we'll be guessing about below.

Just recently, one of the popular YouTube pioneers, Wong Fu Productions just released a video entitled "Just Another Day" and although it's their usual slice of life genre (so-good). In fact, it really amazed me that it was shot with a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This also brought up another question - will smartphones be able to take over those rocket-ish cameras in filmmaking? Well, that's a tough question.
