Starting 1 July 2026, banks across Malaysia are removing the RM1 interbank cash withdrawal fee. This means you can use any bank's ATM or SRM (Smart Recycler Machine) nationwide without paying an extra cent. A joint initiative by ABM, AIBIM, and ADFIM, working alongside PayNet, the waiver applies to every local ATM or debit cardholder.

Perodua just announced that the Perodua QV-E is now RM93,999 (previously it was RM109700), due to better localization of parts. Also, for a limited time until 30 September 2026, you can own the QV-E with the battery for a promo price of RM87,499. If you prefer the Battery as a Service (BAAS) body-only option, the promo drops the entry price to RM63,499 with a RM215 monthly battery subscription for 9 years. 

Overviews. According to the court, which specializes in press and defamation law, it ruled that the summary generated in AI Overviews is content that can be attributed to Google.  Google is appealing. 

Recently DJI sued Insta360 about how similar the Insta360 Luna Ultra looked compared to the Osmo Pocket 4P. A few days later, Insta360 countersued DJI for gimbal and other tech patent infringements. If you didn’t know already, both companies make stabilizing gimbals widely used to record videos, which include the Luna Ultra and Osmo Pocket 4P.

Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing recently tweeted or X’d that phone prices are going to increase due to the rising costs of memory. The United States of America has ordered Anthropic to cut foreign access to both their Fable 5 and Mythos 5 AI models, citing the usual “Security Concerns” as the reason. Many are saying this is because they’re afraid the Anthropic guardrails could get bypassed, but it’s also not the first time that AI has been used by hackers.

Joining the ranks of other big battery phones is the Tecno Pova 8 5G which was recently released in India for 30000 INR and 32000 INR (~RM1280). Featuring an 8,000 mAh battery, a rear Alive Matrix Display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset and a 15,000mm² graphite sheet, the phone seems aimed squarely at midrange gamers. No Malaysia release dates yet but it is expected in India on 18 June 2026.

SpaceX recently announced that their IPO (International Public Offering) managed to collect $75 billion (~RM304.3 trillion). This has been recorded as the biggest IPO in world history yet. Previously, this record was held by Saudi Aramco at $29.4 billion, but the gap between the two companies is huge. 

If you didn’t know already, there is a Trump smartphone called the Trump Mobile T1. Previously announced last year, it looked like a rebranded iPhone with a gold colour backside. Fast forward to 2026 and while it still has that golden backside, it looks a lot like a HTC U24 Pro. iFixit recently confirmed this with a teardown.

realme has officially announced their realme 16 5G midranger for RM1599. It will be available from 13 June 2026 with a first sale promo price of RM1499 along with freebies (read more about it below). Sleek and lightweight at just 183g it still manages to pack in a large 7000 mAh battery due to the AirDesign with Air Craft internal structure.
