This is a time for us to slow down our pace in life with the movement control order being implemented. While staying home, many have gotten chances to do things that never get to finish back then. However, staying home doesn’t mean that we’re cutting off our connections with the outside world. To keep that connection, the Internet is so important in preventing us from becoming ‘cavemen’. Unfortunately, it seems like the Internet is not capable of fitting so many people at one time, so YouTube and Netflix were asked to keep their streaming quality low in Europe.

Based on a statement by a Nintendo analyst, it seems that Nintendo plans on releasing the Nintendo Switch Pro this year and it was rumoured to come with 4k support. In terms of the expected pricing, the aforementioned Switch variant is expected to be priced somewhere around USD399(~RM1636).

After recently announcing their Astro Ultra Box with its own dedicated UHD channel, new interface and Cloud recording, Astro is rolling out even more UHD content in 2020. Featuring something for everyone, this includes Live Premier League and UEFA EURO 2020 matches, documentaries and movies in what is currently the highest possible viewing resolution around. 

Astro tells us there’s more to come for the new year of 2020, so in no particular order here are the UHD content you shouldn’t miss to welcome in the new year.

Earlier today, Astro unveiled the Astro Ultra Box which comes with features such as 4K UHD playback, Cloud Recording as well as a new user interface. Based on a statement by CEO Henry Tan, over half a million homes in Malaysia are equipped with a 4K TV and 70% of them are Astro subscribers.

LG has recently announced the unveiling of their new 24-inch 4K display, as well as a 27-inch 5K UltraFine display starting from USD699.95(~RM2899) and USD1299.95(~RM5385) respectively. The new monitors by LG are designed specifically for Apple users in mind due to the fact that the brightness and volume of the speakers can be controlled via the touch bar or keyboard of a Macbook.

For home theatre goers, the options for projectors with good images quality may not come hand in hand with great sound.
