AMD has announced its latest lineup of gaming products at CES 2025 which includes the Ryzen Z2 series for handheld gaming PCs, the AMD Ryzen™ 9950X3D processor for gaming desktops and the Ryzen 9000HX mobile series for laptops. Release dates start in Q1 2025 and are expected to arrive in laptops from brands such as Acer, ASUS and Lenovo. More details here.

After several users reported online recently about their Ryzen CPUs being mysteriously overclocked without their consent, the culprit has finally been found. Get this, it seems that the problem lies with a bug in AMD’s GPU driver which changed users' CPU settings in BIOS without permission.
Previously, AMD added support for automatic CPU overclocking through one of its GPU drivers last year. This feature was meant to simplify the overclocking experience by adding in a Ryzen Master module into the Radeon Adrenaline GPU drivers.
