For the longest time, gaming laptops relied on Intel CPUs to deliver the best gaming performance. However, Intel's star has fallen and we've begun to see more laptops with AMD CPUs since 2020. This year, more gaming laptops are expected to feature AMD's latest Ryzen 5000 mobile series CPUs.

With the launch of the AMD Ryzen desktop series CPUs last month, the company is now gearing up for the reveal of its new mobile CPUs. The Ryzen 5000 Mobile series CPUs are expected to make an appearance in next month's CES 2021, but basic specs of the chips have already been leaked.
