Previously, we reported that Astro was planning to add more international streaming services to its platform and true to its words, Malaysia’s number one entertainment service today announced that several streaming services are now available on its Ultra Box. These include beIN SPORTS CONNECT, iQIYI and TVBAnywhere+.

Astro Malaysia Holding Bhd today announced that it will further invest in global streaming services on its platform as well as provide more local content via Astro Originals. Moreover, the company is building its growing online presence and continuing to look for opportunities to strengthen its digital, broadband and commerce businesses.

If you’re an Astro subscriber, do note that you will be subjected to a new bill payment due date soon, which is 5 days shorter than what it was before. Previously, the bill payment due date is 30 days after a customer’s billing date, but starting 1 October 2022, it will be revised to 25 days.

In conjunction with the introduction of the Disney+ Hotstar app appearing on the Astro Ulti Box, Astro is also pleased to introduce some new updates for the Ultra and Ulti Boxes, as well as Astro Go. Astro users can now make use of the Multi-User profile, thumbnail viewing, search enhancements and launching Netflix directly.

Today, Astro has finally introduced the Disney+ Hotstar app on its Astro Ulti Box. As many of you know, the app itself is not available on most smart TVs (except Android-stock ones) and other TV boxes, so it's a nice addition to the Ulti Box.

That's right, folks. The Astro Premium 1, 2 and 3 or Platinum Pack has dropped to RM99.99 per month! The original pricing was RM194.99 and this promotion will go on for six months but that being said, this is only valid for new Astro customers starting today onwards on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

It wasn't that long ago when Astro introduced a set of new Astro Fibre broadband bundles. However, the company has a change of mind and decided to release Astro Fibre as a standalone package for those who don't want Astro TV content.

Today, Astro Ultra Box users can now view Disney+ Hotstar just in time for the Raya festive season. Existing customers on Movies, Premium 1, Premium 3 and Platinum Packs will also have access to Disney+ Hotstar and simply need to click on the streaming platform’s app.

Just last night (19 April), Astro's services - Astro Go and On-Demand went offline due to technical issues. However, it seems that both services are now restored before 9 AM this morning. If you own either one of them, you can check if the service is alright now or restart the devices.

Today, Astro just announced a new Astro Fibre broadband bundled with its TV content packages. Aimed to deliver the best entertainment experience and broadband value, it starts with an all-new Pek Jimat Kencang RM129 which includes 50Mbps, a Primary Pack consisting of more than 85 channels, and a free Mesh WiFi for 12 months.
