The ASUS ZenFone 2 is one of those smartphones which offers near the best in performance per value but one of the major detractors for it is it's low battery life. Bloatware are typically apps that come pre-installed or with an official update for your smartphone or device that you do not actually need. Most of the time these bloatware apps are treated as system apps and can't be removed or uninstalled. The best thing you could do previously was to turn off notifications and disable it. For a while now, even the ASUS ZenUI packed on a good deal of bloatware, but with recent updates you can now remove said bloatware completely. To do that go to Apps and tap on the Uninstall Updates button. After tapping OK, a second dialog box will appear asking if you want to uninstall the app. Click OK and that resource draining sucker is gone! Bear in mind that this could be applicable for ASUS devices that have had the latest updates and so far it works on the ASUS ZenFone 2 and ASUS Fonepad 7 which have received their latest updates. You still can't delete everything though as some apps are considered non-removable for certain reasons. In any case, this is a great first step by ASUS and should make it even more popular, especially those who have been itching to remove a bloatware app in particular.

Following the trend of other smartphone makers offering their own user interfaces, ASUS have revealed the ZenUI with their latest range of ASUS ZenFone smartphones. The ZenUI takes the best from the latest batch of user interfaces while making it their own and this includes providing flatter icons while providing a not so invasive user interface like some others we could name. Integrating well with Google Now and Google Calendar the ZenUI is smooth and zippy, while providing a complete toolbox of features and functions that should make your ASUS ZenFone smartphone even more useful right out of the box. The ASUS ZenFone smartphone range caught our attention when it was first announced at CES 2014 due to it's design, price and performance. Now ASUS already have several smartphone devices in the market, but the ASUS ZenFone smartphone range look to be the first to seriously target the entry-level to midrange market with it's focus on price and performance.
