While many of you had a good 2025 wrap-up, Apple also announced that 2025 was a record-breaking year for its services division. The company said the year was defined by strong performance in key services ranging from the App Store and Apple Music to Apple Pay and iCloud, underscoring services as a major driver of its overall ecosystem.

Exactly a year ago, Apple raised the prices of its TV+, Music and One subscriptions by up to RM10 per month. Once again, the company is doing it again but this time only on Apple One and Apple Arcade. 

Yesterday, we mentioned that the Google Play Pass has arrived in Malaysia, but not everyone can access it. Today, Google has rolled out this feature to everyone. That said, here’s a recap and how you can sign up for it.

Recently, Google released the Google Play Pass. In case you didn’t know, the play pass is similar to Apple Arcade. For your information, Apple Arcade is a game subscription service that you can enjoy, with over 200 mobile games. That said, what should you know about the play pass?

Apple Arcade is not uncommon among iPhone users, but not many friends and family that I know of actually subscribe to it. And what about playing it on the Apple TV 4K? I think that's even rarer than a shiny Pokemon. In part 2 of our first impressions of the Apple TV 4K, I'll be talking mainly about the Apple Arcade. For the uninitiated, Apple Arcade is a mobile gaming subscription service by Apple that is priced at RM19.90/month. Is it worth it?

Besides the iOS 15.1 software update, Apple also announced an Apple One Premier service that will launch on 4 November 2021. Surprisingly, Malaysia is among the first 17 countries to receive the service in the future. As a "premier" service, this Apple One version will cost RM69.90 per month.

Any LEGO Star Wars fans here? The franchise is pretty popular, with a variety of different game genres that appeal to different gamers. There's even a collection of older LEGO Star Wars games on Apple and Google's app stores. However, the next one's going to an exclusive to Apple customers.

The Apple TV 4K may not have been all that successful in pushing for wider usage of Apple Arcade, but Apple may have an idea to fix that. Recently, an interesting bit of rumour has appeared online. It claims that Apple is working on a portable console.

For those who are unaware, Apple Arcade has been available in Malaysia since late 2019. While not limited, its list of supported controllers isn't extensive either. Fortunately, the developer beta for iOS 14.5 brings support for new console controllers.
