News & Reviews:   Apple Pay Malaysia

Apple has now updated the Apple Pay support page in Malaysia and also added another new bank that is supported for local users, namely Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB). With this introduction, VIB users of either credit or debit cards can add their cards to Apple Pay in Malaysia.

Yesterday, we reported that Shopee may be adding the option for consumers in Malaysia to make purchases via Apple Pay and now, it looks like the payment method is coming to other merchants too. The latest of which is the telco company Maxis, whereby a placard allegedly on display in one of its centres shows that Apple Pay is now accepted there.
