Based on a statement by appleinsider.com, it seems that there were a bunch of reports on Reddit stating that a bunch of Apple Watch SE have been overheating in South Korea. However, the thread on Reddit did mention that it is most likely a local issue, as there is no statement on whether the overheating issue has been happening outside of South Korea.

While the iPhone fans may have been disappointed that Apple won't be launching the iPhone 12 yet, we'll at least be able to see new wearables soon. But it seems that Apple has more than just the Watch Series 6 up its sleeve, as rumours claim that there will be a cheaper Apple Watch as well.
